Housekeeping Supervisor – Firth Hotel & Restaurant
Rate of Pay
Starting at £13.25 per hour, depending on experience.
Overview
Firth Hotel, a friendly 9-bedroom hotel with a busy restaurant in Lossiemouth, is looking for an experienced and reliable Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong eye for detail, good leadership skills, and a passion for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation. You will play a key part in ensuring our guests enjoy a comfortable, clean, and welcoming stay.
Key Responsibilities
This is a hands-on role and will require the suitable candidate to assist the housekeeping team with day-to-day tasks, including laundry, restaurant cleaning, room cleans and general cleaning as well as deep cleaning. On top of that we will expect the role to include:
· Supervise and support the daily work of the housekeeping team.
· Carry out regular checks of guest rooms, public areas, and staff areas to ensure high standards are maintained.
· Train, guide, and motivate staff to deliver consistent and high-quality cleaning.
· Prepare rotas and daily work schedules and allocate duties based on hotel occupancy.
· Monitor and manage stock levels of linen, cleaning products, and guest supplies.
· Report maintenance issues and work closely with the maintenance and office teams.
· Deal with guest requests or concerns in a polite and professional manner.
· Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene procedures are followed.
Skills & Experience
· Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, ideally in a supervisory or senior role.
· Strong leadership and organisational skills.
· Excellent attention to detail and pride in high standards.
· Good communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
· Ability to work well under pressure and manage priorities.
· Knowledge of health and safety and cleaning standards in a hotel environment.
Hours of work
Ability to work weekends and busy periods as required is a MUST.
Start time AM (Flexible for right applicant)
Work week 4-6 days a week depending on demand.
This job can be flexible for the correct candidate and working hours are negotiable. Job share considered if multiple suitable candidates available.
