Overview
Brands Design Manager (Part Time) at NEXT. This role leads the trend direction for the entire brand's business and executes the creative vision for Brands on the NEXT website (Menswear, Womenswear and Childrenswear). This is a part time role, ideally for 3 days a week based at our Enderby Head Office with flexibility to travel to our Market Harborough and London offices every week.
Key Responsibilities
* Trend Direction: Having great design vision and awareness of changing market trends, identify and clearly communicate new, growing and declining trends to support the wider branded team and inform buying decisions for new product ranges.
* Creative Direction: Set the vision and clarity of message. Develop, communicate and execute the overall creative vision for Brands on the NEXT website across fashion and sports brands in collaboration with the photography team.
* Marketing Direction: Work with the marketing team within PR and ecommerce to guide the creative direction for Brands on the NEXT website and social channels, including Sports Club, SEASONS and any future projects.
* Team Leadership: Communicate the vision with clear goals and expectations, keep the team motivated, and provide recognition and constructive feedback to foster collaboration.
* Communication: Build and maintain relationships with the immediate team and key stakeholders in the branded business and the wider NEXT business.
* Budget Management: Manage the cost centre budget for photography and design travel.
* Travel: Travel to trade shows and inspiration trips, and to other NEXT offices as required.

You will have knowledge of trends in the design sector, be forward thinking and confident, and seek the next step in your career development. You will be organized with excellent time management and the ability to plan and execute to tight deadlines. You will be enthusiastic, passionate about what you do and a real team player with excellent people skills.
Your Team
The NEXT brands team is experienced across all sectors. There is a team of 4 direct reports and a wider team of 150 people across buying and merchandising functions.
