Retail & Education Executive – Active Cosmetics (Reading Area) – 6m FTC
Join L Oréal’s Active Cosmetics Division as a Retail & Education Executive in the Reading area. This 6‑month fixed‑term contract focuses on training and supporting L Oréal Dermatological Beauty (LDB) brands, including La Roche‑Posay, Vichy, and CeraVe across retail and e‑retail partners.

The Retail & Education Executive will shape future success of education and retail excellence for LDB brands.
Key Job Accountabilities
* Retailer Training & Development:
o Line‑manage LDB & agency skincare advisors within designated area.
o Deliver comprehensive training to retailer advisors on brand, franchise, NPD, skin diagnosis services, and personalised product recommendations.
o Support retailer upskilling conferences and seminars and provide regular NPD training for key e‑retailers.
o Lead by example, generating retail sales through active selling demonstrations.
* Stakeholder & Performance Management:
o Build strong, effective relationships with staff, teams, store management and key stakeholders to enable brand advocacy.
o Monitor and review sales/performance with LDB and agency advisors and retailer store managers, providing insights and fostering transparent relationships.
o Work closely with Large Chains BDMs to support independent doors’ performance via quarterly NPD training.
* Brand Presentation & Compliance:
o Ensure in‑store merchandising guidelines are followed and coach skincare advisors for continuous improvement.
o Provide feedback on stock concerns and promotional compliance issues.
* Business Development & Events:
o Offer creative ideas to develop the business across retailers.
o Plan, set up, and staff stands at key retailer conferences and trade shows to promote brand knowledge and drive objectives.
o Support retailer head office events and blog content for e‑retailers.
* Data, Reporting & Personal Effectiveness:
o Collect continuous data on advisor and store receptivity to training, monitor knowledge improvements and brand advocacy.
o Complete all reports accurately, legibly, and on time.
o Recruit advisors to the LDB academy learning platform and provide support.
o Achieve personal training and sales targets.
You Have
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills with a passion for public speaking and coaching.
* Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and budget‑management experience for training and events.
* Proven relationship‑building expertise, internal and external, with human sensitivity.
* Profound commercial and sales awareness, understanding how actions drive store sales and exceeding expectations.
* Deep passion for cosmetics and LDB brands, staying current with trends and consumer profiles.
* Resilience, tenacity, and creativity to overcome challenges and maximise training effectiveness.
* High self‑motivation and adaptability, capable of managing a designated territory effectively.
* Proficiency in IT tools for timely data entry, reporting, and territory management.
* A strong desire for continuous growth, ready to go “above and beyond” and contribute to a collaborative environment.
Key Skills
* Required Background: Previous training and sales experience within the beauty/healthcare industry.
* Commercial Acumen: In‑depth understanding of commercial drivers, sales techniques, and customer service.
* Strategic Thinking: Innovation, entrepreneurship, and managing complexity.
* Brand & Product Expertise: Strong knowledge in skin and cosmetic science.
* Logistics & Execution: Experience in organising and delivering events.
* Essential Qualification: Full, clean driver’s licence for manual transmission cars.
