As a Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, you will deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. You will assist residents with personal hygiene, recognize and understand clinical risk areas, and act courteously towards residents and their visitors while respecting their dignity and individuality.
Experience is not required; we offer a thorough induction and training programme to ensure confidence within the role.
Responsibilities
* Assisting residents in all personal hygiene care, ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect at all times.
* Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, signs of infections, and escalating any identified risks in a timely manner.
* Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting their dignity and individuality.
* Practicing safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
* Contributing fully to the care team to maintain continuity of services for residents.
Qualifications and Requirements
* DBS Disclosure check (cost met by Avery Healthcare).
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Demonstrate initiative and respect towards residents and other people in the home.
* Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
* Be able to adapt and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
