Job Overview
Airco is seeking an experienced service engineer with a positive and pro‑active approach to ensure effective service delivery to our clients. The role includes planned and preventative maintenance and responding to service calls for a wide range of sectors such as pharmaceuticals, petrochemical, telecoms, education, IT, retail, healthcare and local authorities.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Mobile engineer attending service calls.
* Diagnose, identify faults and failures with equipment and systems, providing effective solutions.
* Carry out routine planned preventative maintenance.
* Work to the highest standards of workmanship and safety.
* Conduct and promote best practice.
* Participate in the 24‑hour call‑out rota.
* Assist in site surveys, reports and quotes for new & existing customers.
Qualifications & Skills
* Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, F‑Gas/EN 378 compliant.
* Proficient technical knowledge in refrigeration & electrical principles.
* Hands‑on experience with VRV systems, cold rooms, close control units, chilled water systems and chillers.
* Fault‑finding experience on a range of equipment, including data centre cooling & water chillers.
* Good understanding of industry standards, legislation and compliance requirements.
* Positive and pro‑active approach.
* Well‑organised and effective communicator.
* High level of professionalism & customer service.
