We have two exciting opportunities for Safe Communities Officers to join the Flagship's Safe Communities Service. If you’re committed to community safety and have experience in housing or related fields, this role offers a chance to make a real impact. These are permanent jobs, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. These role comes with Agile Working and Flexible Working will be considered. As a Safe Communities Officer, you’ll play a vital role in helping customers feel safer in their homes and neighbourhoods. You’ll be part of a dynamic and supportive team, working collaboratively to address a range of issues including anti-social behaviour (ASB), hate crime, exploitation, and safeguarding. Your work will contribute directly to building sustainable communities. These roles are Norfolk/Suffolk and Suffolk/Essex based, working fluidly and collaboratively with colleagues across areas, please state your preferential location upon application. Key Responsibilities: Case Management: Manage a varied caseload from first report through to resolution using a variety of solutions. Investigate incidents thoroughly and sensitively, working with victims, perpetrators, and communities. Maintain accurate records and ensure timely progression of cases. Customer Service & Victim Support: Deliver outstanding customer service with empathy and understanding. Provide excellent care and support to victims, ensuring their voices are heard and needs are met. Communicate effectively and sensitively with individuals in distress or at risk. Problem Solving & Risk Management: Apply strong risk assessment and problem-solving skills to develop long-term, sustainable solutions. Address root causes of ASB and vulnerabilities within communities. Use professional judgement to assess and respond to safeguarding concerns. Collaboration & Partnership Working: Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders including police, social services, and support agencies. Contribute to multi-agency approaches, understanding roles and responsibilites. Represent Flagship in partnership meetings and forums. Legal Work: Prepare legal documentation including witness statements and court papers. Attend court as required, representing the organisation professionally and confidently. Understand and apply relevant housing legislation and regulatory frameworks. Working environment: Visiting customers, attending meetings, and engaging with communities. Agile working between offices, in the field, and remotely as needed. Resilience and the ability to work in a fast-paced, reactive environment. Confidence in managing changing priorities and a busy caseload. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A full Valid Driving Licence. A genuine interest in making communities safer and more inclusive.
