Band 3 Care Support Worker in the Children's Emergency Department
The Children's Emergency Department at The John Radcliffe Hospital currently has vacancies for Care Support Workers.

Main Duties of the Job
The overall purpose of this role is to:
1. Assist qualified staff in implementing patient care programmes.
2. Assist in planning patient care alongside registered nurses.
3. Perform patient care tasks under supervision of a registered nurse.
4. Record detailed patient care information under supervision.
5. Monitor and maintain equipment and the environment of the unit under supervision.
6. Support junior colleagues in conjunction with registered nurses.

* Desirable: Level 3 Diploma or Apprenticeship in health, Care Certificate, understanding of the Code of Conduct.
Clinical Practice (Essential)
* Experience in NHS or health/child care, with interest in the specialty.
* Understanding of accountability, delegation, and professionalism.
* Team player with high standards of patient care.
* Effective communication with patients, relatives, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Desirable: Up-to-date knowledge of the specialist area.
