Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons that inspire curiosity about the world.
* Cover a range of physical and human geography topics, incorporating current events and global issues.
* Develop students' geographical skills, including map reading, data analysis, fieldwork techniques, and critical thinking.
* Organize and lead fieldwork trips (local, national, and potentially international - check with the school if this is accurate).
* Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages inquiry and debate.
* Assess student progress effectively and provide constructive feedback.
* Contribute to the ongoing development of the Geography curriculum.
* Teaching at a rated Outstanding school.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Qualifications
* A degree in Geography or a closely related field.
* Proven experience teaching Geography at the secondary level.
* A passion for geography and a commitment to fieldwork and real-world learning.
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
