The Role:
We are delighted to be supporting a well-established, independent family-run garage based in the Melksham area, in their search for a Vehicle Technician to join their experienced and friendly team. Responsibilities
* General servicing and repair work across all makes and models
* Mechanical repairs including clutches, brakes, suspension, and cooling/heating systems
* Carrying out fault diagnosis using tools and diagnostic equipment
* Supporting the service team with repair recommendations and job updates
* Test driving vehicles to confirm faults and verify repairs
* Maintaining accurate records and adhering to workshop processes
* Contributing to a tidy, efficient, and well-organised workshop environment
About You
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair preferred
* Minimum 3 years' experience in an automotive technician role
* Confident diagnosing and repairing faults across a range of vehicle systems
* Comfortable using diagnostic tools and basic electrical repair knowledge
* Strong communication and teamworking skills
* Reliable, punctual, and detail-focused
* Full UK driving licence essential
Package & Benefits
* Basic salary between £28,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
* Full-time, Monday to Friday only - no weekends
