Deichmann Shoes have an exciting opportunity to join our growing business – working as a Cover Store Manager, supporting our store in Ipswich, and other stores in the surrounding area, including: Ipswich, Norwich, Bury St Edmunds, Chelmsford, Basildon & Southend.
This is a full time, permanent position and you therefore must be fully flexible to work across the week. After initial training, Cover Managers build their understanding of how Deichmann stores operate, by providing managerial cover across a cluster of stores. On completion of training, Cover Managers are in an ideal position to be promoted to Store Manager. Our Cover Managers are our fast track, high potential managerial talent!

Base pay range: £30,500 per annum. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Responsibilities
* Motivate and coach the team to deliver excellent customer service.
* Lead by example in promoting and upselling products.
* Draft rotas, in line with payroll budgets.
* Analyse sales figures & reports.
* Ensure all company standards are implemented and maintained (merchandising, administration).
* Work to targets and hit company KPI’s.
* Assist with the recruitment and development of the team.
Qualifications / Personal characteristics
* A hands-on leader, with experience in retail or a related industry sector.
* A positive and flexible approach with a can-do attitude.
* The ability to work under pressure, in a demanding, fast paced environment.
* The confidence and ability to motivate, coach and inspire the team.
* Methodical and organised with a structured approach to work.
* Candidates with a full UK driving licence are preferred due to the travel involved.
Our ideal Cover Manager will therefore have previous experience at supervisor / management level, within a retail setting or similar, and be keen to progress their career in store management.
Location & travel
Travel within a defined geographical area is required. After training, you will be positioned to support multiple stores as a Cover Manager.
