Overview

Ideal Candidate
* Good electrical engineering experience, hydraulic diagrams, engineering drawings and electrical diagrams, ideally automotive or vehicle plant
* Engineering qualification: level 2/3 engineering or above, ideally electrical, electro‑mechanical or mechanical, or any similar engineering
* Service, repair, installation, diagnostic, calibration experience of large vehicles, heavy plant machinery, basic petrol, diesel engines or generators, large and small machines or similar machinery plant equipment
* 12v / 24v DC automotive or plant type experience of distinct interest as well as communication system experience (CAN bus) or similar.
* Ex‑forces engineers, ex‑military, REME technician engineers, RE plant operator engineers with good service and maintenance experience of plant, trucks, tanks, heavy plant equipment, fleet of vehicles, would be of distinct interest.
Responsibilities
* Diagnostic, inspection, part identification, testing, service and repair, rectification of faults of electrical machinery at the depot.
* Installation of safety controls systems and control panels on plant equipment.
* Safety compliance and preparation of vehicles and plant machinery for sale and hire for exhibition, market, customers and fleet.
Role Summary
This electrical service engineer role will be responsible daily for the repair, service and installation of safety and controls systems to control panels of the plant machinery. You will routinely be responsible for the preparation of the award‑winning vehicles for sale to customers and fleet exhibitions so you must have excellent attention to detail, ensuring the plant machinery vehicles are in excellent clean presentable condition and fully safety compliant.
