You're caring, flexible, and creative. You thrive under pressure, know how to connect with people at all levels, and genuinely enjoy helping others to live as independently as possible. You want to be part of an organization that values the professionalism, insight, expertise, and passion of its staff to inspire individual recovery. Welcome to Waythrough's White Gables as a Recovery Worker.
White Gables is a 24-hour crisis service supporting individuals experiencing a mental health crisis, operating within a recovery model. We offer a range of support services, including outreach, peer support, and supported housing, for people with mental health issues to access in their local community. We have been serving the area for several years and provide a staffed service for residents aged 18 and upwards.
We recognize that recovery is a highly individual process. With the right support at the right time, recovery is possible for everyone. Your role will involve helping and inspiring service users to maintain their tenancy and independence, working with them to develop personal support plans to achieve their goals, whether in domestic skills, finance, work, leisure, or education. This role offers you the opportunity to truly make a difference.
No relevant experience is required as full training will be provided. Candidates with an understanding of mental health issues or lived experience are welcome. More critical are your caring and compassionate nature, empathy, enthusiasm, and willingness to work both independently and as part of a team. You must be willing to participate in a weekly rota system and be available for on-call duties.
In return, we offer excellent benefits, training, and development opportunities.
