As a Dementia Support Worker, you will help us to ensure that people are treated with respect and dignity. Your approach will be empathetic, compassionate, and focused on ensuring that their life is the best it can be by promoting the strengths and abilities of each person. In specially designed communities, you will engage with individuals living with Dementia, ensuring you understand their needs and encouraging them to participate in appropriate leisure activities and activities of daily living, normalizing life as much as possible with joy and happiness. This role involves aspects of personal care, and you may support individuals who show signs of being distressed. With support from the team, you will receive tailor-made dementia training to enhance your skills and the lives of people living with dementia.
An NVQ level 2 (or above) certificate in Health and Social Care is essential for this role, along with a minimum of 6 months experience within a Dementia setting. Are you an individual that has previous care experience within a dementia setting? Do you have a NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care? We are seeking experienced individuals who can demonstrate a positive nature and a passion for person-led care.
