Contract: Full‑time
Salary: £14.30 - £15.50 per hour
Start Date: Monday 1st September 2026
About the Role
As a 1:1 SEN TA, you will work closely with a student who requires additional support to access learning and succeed in the classroom. You will collaborate with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to ensure the child receives tailored, consistent, and engaging support throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalised 1:1 support for a child with Special Educational Needs.
- Assist with learning activities, behaviour regulation, and social skills development.
- Adapt resources and activities to suit individual needs.
- Follow Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets and contribute to progress reviews.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and parents to ensure continuity of support.
- Promote independence, confidence, and wellbeing for the child.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language, or learning difficulties) is highly desirable.
- A positive, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to remain calm, consistent, and engaging.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
