Pertemps Isle of Wight is currently recruiting for an Industrial Warehouse Operative to join a busy manufacturing site in Newport. This role is ideal for someone physically fit, practical, and confident using industrial equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
Role Overview
As an Industrial Warehouse Operative, you will play an important role in keeping production and warehouse areas clean, safe, and well-organised. Duties will include operating a B1 Forklift Truck, driving a small company van when needed, and carrying out industrial cleaning tasks across production floors.
Key Responsibilities
o Operate a B1 FLT to move materials and support production
o Drive a small company van for site-to-site or local transport tasks
o Keep production floors clean, safe, and free from debris
o Assist with organising equipment and maintaining tidy work areas
o Handle industrial cleaning tools and machinery as required
o Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
What We’re Looking For
* Valid B1 Forklift Truck licence
* Clean UK driving licence
* Physically fit and comfortable with manual, industrial tasks
* Good awareness of workplace safety
* Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
* Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments beneficial
Contract Details
* Start Date: January
* Contract: Temporary – ongoing
* Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
* Hours: Full-time, daytime shifts
* Location: Newport, Isle of Wight
