We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications professional to lead our Communications, Engagement and Participation team in the Edinburgh Health and Social Partnership. We are undergoing an ambitious programme of strategic change as we transform and improve health and social care services for the people of Edinburgh and we are seeking a skilled individual to support the achievement of our strategic vision.
* Significant strategic level experience, preferably in a complex, politically sensitive area with a high public profile.
* Demonstrable experience in aligning communications activities to strategic goals and providing expert leadership in designing and implementing communication methods for a wide range of purposes and for both internal and external audiences.
* Skilled in developing and maintaining relationships, working closely with senior management and non‑executives, with excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills.
* Significant experience managing a team of communications professionals.
* Ability to choose between NHS Lothian employment and City of Edinburgh Council terms and conditions of employment.
