Pay: £419.25 - £500 per week
Contract: Full-time | Immediate Start | Until end of academic year (potential to become permanent)

Are you a recent English graduate with a passion for education and a desire to inspire the next generation of learners?
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ secondary school in the Bramhall area to recruit an English Graduate Teaching Assistant. This full-time role begins ASAP and continues until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become a permanent position depending on performance and school needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain first-hand experience in a supportive secondary school environment, working closely with pupils and teaching staff in the English department.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support students in English lessons, helping to clarify content and encourage engagement
2. Deliver targeted literacy interventions to individuals and small groups
3. Help pupils improve their reading, writing, and analytical skills
4. Provide one-to-one academic support to students who may be underachieving or require additional guidance
5. Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and classroom resources
6. Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Key Information:
Location: Bramhall
Full-time: Monday to Friday (term time)
Weekly pay: £419.25 - £500 through Teaching Personnel
Contract: Until July 2025, with possibility of a permanent offer
Ideal Candidate:
1. A degree in English, English Literature, Creative Writing or a related subject
2. Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for education
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. Previous experience working with young people (in school, tutoring or mentoring) is desirable but not essential
5. Ambition to pursue a career in teaching or education
