We are now looking for a Senior Data Engineer to work within a multi-functional delivery team, responsible for the delivery of the robust data services and designs.
Technical Responsibilities
* Deliver data enhancements using existing tools and team capabilities.
* Contribute to building a high-quality data engineering capability.
* Collaborate with data and BI teams to improve data access and usability.
* Develop and maintain data pipelines and related artefacts.
* Implement solutions for internal and external data movement.
* Work with stakeholders to understand user needs and inform design decisions.
* Deliver data engineering solutions across projects using approved technologies.
* Support organisational data strategy aligned with business goals.
Development & Delivery
* Maintain and develop technical skills, staying current with industry trends.
* Ensure adherence to governance, testing, and build processes.
* Support and guide junior team members where required.
Technical Skills
* Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Python, and related tools.
* Ability to design, build, test, and document code or scripts.
* Experience preparing, cleansing, and formatting data.
* Understanding of scalable and sustainable data solutions.
Experience
* Contributed to delivery of technical solutions within large projects.
* Familiar with Agile delivery approaches (e.g. Scrum).
* Understanding of DevOps practices.
* Experience using Azure DevOps.
