About You as Head of Human Resources (Policy, Employee Relations and Compensation)
Are you a dedicated, tenacious, and commercially minded HR leader with extensive experience across policy development, employee relations, and compensation strategy? Then this is the role for you, you will lead in a rapidly growing business HR division with a hands-on approach across HR areas of Policy, Employee Relations, and Compensation.

Line Management Report: Finance Director (Same as the Policy, Employee Relations and Compensation Manager)
Works Alongside: Head of Talent and HR Business Partner (Training and Development)
Direct Report: HR and Recruitment Coordinator – resource shared with Head of Talent and HR Business Partner (Training and Development)

QUALIFICATIONS: CIPD is essential for this role
Salary: £65,000 per annum
HR Policy Development & Governance
* Lead the development, implementation, and regular review of HR policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure legal compliance and alignment with organisational goals
* Serve as the custodian of HR governance by ensuring policies are consistently applied across the organisation
* Collaborate with compliance teams and senior management to ensure all policies reflect current labour laws and best practices
* Review and maintain employment contract templates, staff handbook, and wider HR policies
* Oversee onboarding and employment changes
* Hands-on approach to task management for generating any required HR administration
Employee Relations
* Oversee the organisation's employee relations strategy to foster a fair, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture
* Manage the resolution of complex employee issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and workplace investigations
* Advise senior leaders and managers on best practices in conflict resolution, performance management, and employee engagement
* Build strong relationships with employee representative bodies and trade unions, where applicable
* Promote employee wellbeing and wellbeing culture within the organisation, including putting together new initiatives to make wellbeing a core part of Love Finance for employees
* Lead Management on HR and Employee relations advice
* Carry out medical reviews and lead on Occupational Health cases
* Complete Exit Interviews with offboarded staff
* Responsible for absence management and general issues or inquiries
* Complete general correspondence for anything related to the employee life cycle
* Work with the Head of Talent and HR Business Partner (Training and Development) on Benchmarking and Talent Training to ensure competitive internal and external market placement
Compensation & Benefits
* Design and oversee competitive compensation structures and benefits programs that support talent acquisition and retention
* Ensure pay practices are equitable, transparent, and aligned with both internal policies and market trends
* Work alongside of the Head of Talent and HR Business Partner (Training and Development) for benchmarking and talent planning purposes
Strategic HR Leadership
* Provide expert advice to executive leadership on all HR matters related to policy, employee relations, and compensation
* Contribute to the development of organisational HR strategy and ensure its successful execution in assigned areas
* Lead the HR survey process and collate data for senior management
* Support Managers in meetings for 121, or running meetings for HR related matters
* Assist Managers with probation, mid-term, and end-of-year reviews
Risk Management & Compliance
* Monitor HR-related risks and ensure mitigation strategies are in place, especially related to policy violations, labor disputes, or compensation discrepancies
* Ensure compliance with employment laws, data protection regulations, and internal audits related to HR practices
* Ensure that the HR system is maintained with accurate and up-to-date data
* Understanding of up-to-date employment law
Team Leadership and Development
* Lead and develop a team of HR professionals specializing in policy, employee relations, and compensation.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the HR function.
