We're partnering with a large, complex services organisation to appoint a Head of Collections to transform how collections operates across the business. The Head of Collections is a senior opportunity for someone who understands that sustainable cash improvement comes from process, analysis and control, not volume chasing. The role As Head of Collections, you'll lead a team of five and take ownership of collections performance, structure and strategy. The focus is on identifying why payments aren't being made, fixing upstream issues, and embedding disciplined processes that scale. Key responsibilities Lead, structure and develop a collections team Implement clear controls, dunning processes and KPIs Investigate complex or delayed payments Reduce debtor days through root-cause resolution Act as senior escalation point internally and externally Work closely with finance, commercial and operational teams The right background Experience as a Credit Manager, Collections Manager or Head of Collections Track record of improving collections through controls and process change Strong analytical and investigative capability Confident managing complexity and stakeholders Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals (cash, debits/credits, intercompany) You do not need to be a qualified accountant, but must be financially credible.
