Sous Chef - East Lothian
Salary: £38,000 + tips/service charge (minimum 2k per year)
Hours: 40 per week, permanent
We ' re looking for a skilled Sous Chef to join a well-established restaurant with rooms that prides itself on seasonal menus, great ingredients, and a welcoming atmosphere. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves cooking at a high standard and enjoys leading a team.
The role:
You'll work closely with the Head Chef on menu planning and daily service, ensuring every dish leaves the kitchen looking and tasting its best. You'll step up when the Head Chef's away, keep the team motivated, and make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes - from stock checks to hygiene standards.
We'd like you to have:
Solid experience as a Sous Chef, or a Senior CDP ready to take the next step
A real passion for fresh, seasonal food and Scottish produce
Strong leadership skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
A positive, team-first attitude
