Park Parade Surgery is looking to welcome a salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team for 6 sessions per week.
Our clinical team includes 5 GPs, 2 practice nurses, a health care assistant, pharmacist, physiotherapist, phlebotomist, dietician and social prescriber.
We strive to deliver the best patient care possible and our excellent Friends and Family Staff Test scores reflect this. We work hard to ensure continuity as it is beneficial for patients and rewarding for staff.
Staff wellbeing is a high priority and we have 2 wellbeing leads to support this. There are regular staff events which have included beach picnics, a Bake-Off competition, charity events and pottery painting! We have daily huddles and lunch together and there is an open-door policy ensuring clinical cases and any concerns can be discussed.

Dedicated pharmacy and coding teams ensure that administrative work is manageable for clinicians. A paramedic visiting service and community frailty service keeps home visits rates low.
Park Parade Surgery is a training practice for GP registrars. We also have a long history of teaching Year 3 and Year 4 medical students for which we are well regarded. There are opportunities for contributing to teaching and developing other specialist interests either within the practice or wider organisation of Northumbria Primary Care (NPC).
As a GP Practice which is part of Northumbria Primary Care Ltd (NPC), we work with flexibility and independence to run the surgery based on what is best for our patients and staff, and additionally we have the regular and consistent support of the management team to help us to focus on what is clinically important.
As a Salaried GP the post holder will be a key clinician within the team. A job plan will be agreed with you to provide general medical services and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting.
NPC is a pioneering partnership with local GPs and now manages several GP practices with around 120,000 registered patients in Northumberland and North Tyneside.
