Job Summary
Blackpool & Fylde Lastminute Care & Nursing is a multi award winning care organization that has been running for 12 years, we have 16 offices around the uk.
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team, you must have a minimum of 6 moths UK care experience. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting and assisting individuals in their own homes.
This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively within a team. A valid driving licence is preferred for this role as it may involve travel between locations.
Duties
* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support
* Implement and follow care plans tailored to individual needs
* Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff
* Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes
* Administer medicine
Requirements
* Care training valid within last 12 months
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable
* Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively
* Proficient in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping
* A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between locations
