This role involves assessing adults for ADHD, considering other conditions to make accurate diagnostic decisions. You will use your clinical expertise to determine and initiate treatments for ADHD.
Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive expert assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of adults with ADHD across the RDaSH localities. Review with others the assessment and monitoring of adults identified with ADHD.
* Provide direct nursing judgement and treatment interventions based on skills and knowledge regarding clinical management and educational management of adults with ADHD.
* Exercise independent prescribing rights using guidelines and protocols.
* Ensure that the patient’s interests are fully considered within the context of care, actively participating in ethical decision making within the multi-disciplinary team.
* Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge of patients.
* Undertake risk assessments and risk management for individuals and their families.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, national and local policies and issues in relation to ADHD.
* Provide high quality support and advice to health and other professionals.
* Supervise the implementation and monitoring of new developments in ADHD.
