Job Description:
Occupational Therapist required to work at a school part of Trust specialising in supporting pupils with Autism.
The school is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our inclusive and supportive multidisciplinary team. You will work on a long-term contract at a SEND School located in London with good transport links. The long-term to permanent role will be supporting students with a range of sensory, physical, and coordination needs to access the curriculum and thrive in the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess students referred for occupational therapy within the educational context.
* Develop and deliver individualized intervention plans to support access to learning.
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to implement strategies in the classroom.
* Monitor and review progress, adjusting plans accordingly.
* Provide training and guidance for school staff on best practices in occupational therapy.
* Contribute to EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) processes and reviews.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with legal and professional standards.
Requirements:
* Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration (Health and Care Professions Council).
* Minimum of 1 year experience working with children and young people (preferably in schools).
* Knowledge of current educational frameworks including SEND Code of Practice.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
