Senior Operations Manager - 3PL
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + Benefits
We are recruiting for an experienced and driven Senior Operations Manager to join a fast‑paced 3PL operation based in Doncaster. This is a fantastic opportunity for a high‑calibre operational leader to take ownership of a large‑scale warehousing and logistics operation within a dynamic logistics distribution and supply chain environment.
The Role
As the Senior Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading day‑to‑day operational performance across a busy multi‑client distribution operation, ensuring service, productivity, and cost targets are consistently achieved. You will play a key role in driving operational efficiency, continuous improvement, and team engagement across the site.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will help shape operational strategy while maintaining a strong focus on customer service, people development, and performance delivery within a highly demanding 3PL environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage large‑scale warehouse and logistics operations
* Drive operational performance across productivity, service, quality, and cost KPIs
* Develop and mentor operational management teams across multiple shifts/functions
* Ensure customer expectations and SLA requirements are consistently achieved
* Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the operation
* Manage labour planning, resource allocation, and operational budgets
* Maintain high standards across health & safety, compliance, and operational discipline
* Work collaboratively with customers and internal stakeholders to support growth and operational success
About You
* Proven experience within a senior warehousing or logistics leadership role
* Strong background within a 3PL, retail, FMCG, or high‑volume logistics distribution and supply chain environment
* Experience managing large operational teams within fast‑paced distribution settings
* Demonstrable track record of improving operational performance and engagement
* Commercially aware with strong analytical and decision‑making skills
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capability
* Comfortable operating within KPI‑driven environments with multiple customer demands
