Hello Education is pleased to be working in partnership with specialist SEND schools to recruit dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants.
This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people aged 219 with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and challenging behaviour. You will play a key role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential within a supportive and inclusive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND, including those with ASC, SEMH needs, and challenging behaviour.
2. Assist teachers in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with individual learning needs and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
3. Support the effective management and de-escalation of challenging behaviour using positive behaviour support strategies.
4. Promote pupils independence, confidence, and emotional regulation.
5. Create and maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
