Salary: £42,000 + 13% Night Shift Uplift
Shifts: Rotating Early / Late / Nights – Monday to Friday (40 hours/week)

The Role
*
Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on conveyor systems, sorters, and tipping equipment
*
Work across electrical and mechanical systems, including control panels, drives, motors, and PLCs
*
Respond quickly to faults to minimise operational downtime
*
Replace belts, chains, bearings, and other key components
*
Liaise closely with control room staff, section leaders, and managers to ensure coordinated responses
*
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activity and shift handovers
*
Ensure all work meets Health & Safety and company standards
What We’re Looking For
*
Recognised qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds or equivalent)
*
Strong background in electrical/mechanical maintenance
*
Solid understanding of PLC-controlled systems (e.g. Siemens, Allen-Bradley)
*
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
*
Familiarity with 16th, 17th, or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
*
Experience in fast-paced environments such as logistics, manufacturing, or sortation
*
Clear communicator, team-focused, and adaptable under pressure
*
Full UK driving licence
