About the Role
Arup is looking for senior project managers to join our Programme and Project Management team in Birmingham and Nottingham, supporting our public and private sector clients across healthcare, higher education, government and property sectors.
As a senior project manager, you will act as the key client contact, building long‑term relationships and positioning Arup as a trusted advisor. You will coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams, track and manage scope, risks, and issues, and lead day‑to‑day contract management activities including change management, risk and performance reporting and invoicing.
Responsibilities
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead coordination with multi‑disciplinary teams across Arup and partner organisations.
• Track and manage scope changes, risks, issues, and escalating complex matters.
• Lead day‑to‑day contract management activities such as change management, early warnings, risk management, documentation and reporting, invoicing and payments, and support project control systems.
Requirements
* A relevant degree and membership or pursuit of a professional body.
* Experience in a project management role on capital projects and proven mentoring of junior colleagues.
* Demonstrable project management knowledge, commercial awareness and motivation to support line reports.
* Knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contract forms.
* Experience with contract administration software such as CEMAR or FastDraft.
