Job Title: Optometrist
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Working Pattern: Flexible, including some Saturdays
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Optometrist to join a dynamic, patient-focused optical practice. You will provide high-quality eye care through routine eye examinations, contact lens services, and extended service assessments. Working alongside a qualified Dispensing Optician Manager, you will support colleagues, contribute to maintaining departmental standards, and help develop new patient services.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens fittings, and extended service assessments
Provide accurate clinical advice and patient management plans
Maintain high standards of patient care and service excellence
Support the implementation of new services and clinical initiatives
Keep accurate and compliant patient records in line with regulatory standards
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a seamless patient experience
Team Development:
Support and mentor team members where appropriate
Contribute to ongoing training and coaching initiatives
Promote a culture of excellence and professional growth
Assist in shaping the department’s clinical and operational practices
About You:
Fully qualified Optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
Registered performer with your NHS area team or health board
MECs or WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months – funded and supported)
Committed to continuous professional development (CPD)
Passionate about delivering a high-quality patient experience
Eager to contribute to the growth and innovation of clinical services
