Job Title: Chartered Buyer – Procurement (Capital Projects, Repairs and Compliance)

Contract Type: Contract / Interim
Day Rate: Circa £400 - £500 per day (depending on experience and scope)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Chartered Buyer to provide interim procurement expertise on capital projects, planned repairs and compliance programmes within the housing sector. This assignment will suit a seasoned procurement professional who can quickly add value, shape procurement activity and deliver outcomes within strict timescales.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end procurement activity for capital projects, repairs and compliance contracts
Run tender processes and ensure compliance with UK procurement regulations
Negotiate with suppliers and award contracts that deliver value for money and measurable outcomes
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure specifications meet operational needs
Support compliance across building safety, gas, electrical and fire safety contracts
Drive sustainability and social value outcomes in procurement decisions What We’re Looking For
MCIPS or RICS Chartered Buyer (or equivalent)
Extensive interim experience in procurement within housing, construction or property services
Strong knowledge of public procurement law and frameworks
Proven track record of delivering results under pressure and to deadline
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage supplier relationships effectively What’s on Offer
