Location
Care First – Pheasey, Walsall area, Birmingham - The Clinical Team will support the provision of services across multiple sites within Walsall, Kings Norton and Walsall.
Salary
Up to £60,000 pro-rata DOE
Hours
Part Time - 2 days per week

The role
We’re seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team and contribute to bespoke assessment and intervention plans for the adults we support. This is a wide and varied role suitable for those seeking a new challenge with real impact on service design and change.
Care First aims to improve quality of life for adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health difficulties. The service offers support through practical and vocational training, within a MDT framework including Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy. Outcomes First Group supports CPD with supervision and training opportunities to deliver evidence-based interventions.
You will work within the service policies and MDT/Clinical Governance structures to support future development and quality assurance.

Essential Criteria
* Registered with the HCPC
* Doctoral level degree in Clinical/Psychology/Counselling/Forensic/Educational Psychology (or equivalent if qualified prior to Doctorate introduction)
* Relevant experience in related settings or with related client groups
* Experience of effective multidisciplinary working
* Experience communicating with families, relatives and carers
* Experience working across different systems within an organisation
* Experience using a model of assess, plan, do, and review
* Experience using consultation as a method of service delivery
* Competence in core areas of psychological practice and HCPC standards
* Knowledge of client group needs
* Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and neurodiversity
* Ability to develop formulations and inform intervention plans
* Ability to deliver training to different cohorts
* Ability to write coherent clinical records and reports
* Excellent communication on complex matters
* Effective IT skills and ability to learn core platforms
* Ability to work with professionals to achieve service outcomes
* Ongoing CPD
* Ability to use evaluation tools to demonstrate and improve service effectiveness
* Ability to make independent clinical decisions when necessary
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Ability to prioritise multiple demands and meet deadlines
* Commitment to induction and organisation values

* Ability and willingness to travel on company business
* Full driving licence and access to a car
Desirable
* Experience with specific client groups or settings (e.g., neurodiverse, social, emotional and mental health)
* Experience providing supervision
* Knowledge of current philosophies underpinning services for the client group
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and implications for clinical practice and management
* Post-qualification training relevant to role
* Training in evidence-based interventions/approaches
