Job Title: Tooling Engineer (Rotating 2 Shift) Department: Tool Room Reports to: Injection Moulding Tooling & Maintenance Manager Hours of Work: Normal hours of work are Monday to Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm / 3:00pm to 11:00pm with a daily paid break of 30 minutes, divided into one 10-minute break and one 20-minute break. _______________________________________________________________________________________ Overview The Tooling Engineer is responsible for the routine and reactive maintenance and repair of tooling and injection moulds. Key Responsibilities and Duties The responsibilities and main duties for this position include, but are not limited to:- Tooling Maintenance: Conduct routine tooling maintenance as required to ensure maximum up time of injection moulds. Undertake troubleshooting and carry out repairs on injection moulds. Diagnose tooling faults and identify appropriate methods of repair. Use of machine tools as appropriate. To make tools which are fit for purpose for the engineering team, as well as performing tool maintenance activities. Hands on mould toolmaking, jigs and fixture and conventional machining techniques such as lathe work, surface grinding, milling work and spark erosion. Read and interpret engineering drawings.
