 
        
        A long-established and highly respected coach operator in the South West is seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to join its fleet maintenance team. With a modern, award-winning fleet and a focus on providing high-quality transport services for UK and continental holidays, theatre trips, and excursions, this is a chance to become part of a professional and supportive engineering department. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of a fleet of coaches, carrying out scheduled maintenance, safety inspections, and necessary repairs in line with safety legislation and internal standards. Reporting to the Workshop Manager (or Assistant Workshop Manager in their absence), you\'ll be a key contributor to the performance and compliance of the fleet.
Responsibilities
 * Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and repairs to a high standard
 * Ensure compliance with all safety, legal, and O Licence requirements
 * Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using manual and diagnostic tools
 * Complete accurate job records using the Fleet Management System
 * Collaborate with operations to address maintenance needs promptly
 * Identify required parts and assist with stock control and ordering
 * Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment
 * Stay informed on technical updates and participate in training as needed
Qualifications
 * Relevant experience in PSV, HGV, or Light Vehicle maintenance (essential)
 * Valid UK driving licence
 * Willingness to work towards a Category D (coach) licence if not already held
 * Good communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
 * Competence with diagnostic tools and repair systems
 * Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
