About the role
:
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Groundworker with experience in drainage, wellpointing and dewatering to join our team based in Wigan, Manchester. This is a field-based role requiring travel to sites across the UK, with regular overnight stays. The ideal candidate will be flexible, safety-conscious, and eager to develop new skills.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Installing Wellpointing Systems and Pumpsets at customer sites UK wide
2. Carry out Jetting Installation of Wellpoints on site
3. Install well pointing and dewatering setups on construction and industrial sites
4. Load, unload, and set up equipment at customer sites
5. Maintain clean and safe work areas, ensuring proper handling and storage of tools and materials
6. Work closely with site supervisors and engineers to complete tasks to high standards and tight deadlines
7. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any faults
8. Complete all tasks in line with site health and safety policies
9. Wear appropriate PPE and ensure all safety procedures are followed at all times
10. Participate in daily toolbox talks and site inductions as required
11. Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and site representatives
You’ll have:
12. Valid CSCS card (essential)
13. Full UK driving licence B & C1
14. Willingness to travel and stay away from home for extended periods
15. Basic understanding of health and safety in a construction environment
16. Reliable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team
17. Previous experience in groundwork or utilities is advantageous, but not essential
