YMCA Ipswich Youth Centre is seeking a dedicated Senior Operations Coordinator to join their team on a Part-Time, Fixed Term basis in Ipswich.
About The Role
As a Senior Operations Coordinator, you will oversee the daily operations of the Ipswich Centre, ensuring compliance and reporting requirements are met. Your key responsibilities include managing Community Centre operations, community engagement and development, people management, and driving innovation and change.
What will my time look like?
* Develop and implement community-based programs that meet local needs, focusing on families, marginalized groups, and the broader community.
* Utilize a community development framework to create positive initiatives in partnership with The Y Schools’ students and staff, supporting the mission of the school and the development of students and their families.
* Provide access to information and referral pathways for community members seeking support.
* Support and guide junior staff, volunteers, and contractors to ensure task fulfillment aligned with YMCA values.
* Gather and analyze data to monitor, evaluate, and adapt programs for maximum impact.
* Contribute to a positive team culture that embraces the Y mission and values, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.

* Diploma or relevant qualifications, or a combination of qualifications and experience.
* Experience working in community centre environments.
* Knowledge of relevant government legislation.
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
* Experience in staff supervision, training, and development.
* Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Capability to handle conflict, complaints, and challenging situations.
* Willingness to work flexible hours as required.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and effective communication with diverse groups.
* Current Open Queensland Drivers Licence.
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificates or willingness to obtain.
* Willingness to obtain a Blue Card and undergo a National Criminal History check prior to employment.
* Willingness to obtain an ACF Safeguarding Children Certificate.
