They’re looking for a Field Service Engineer to join them on a permanent basis to provide servicing, fault-find and repair on electro-mechanical systems. Field Service Engineer – Responsibilities: Provide technical support for advanced water instruments in lab and field settings, mainly across the UK with occasional travel into Europe. Service, fault-find and repair of electronic, electrical and mechanical systems. Role is 80% field-based, requiring independence, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills. Requires a solid grasp of engineering principles relevant to the water industry; prior experience in the sector is highly beneficial. Hands-on role involving troubleshooting, understanding instrument operation, and relaying product improvement suggestions. Field Service Engineer - Essential Skills & Experience: Extensive knowledge of electronic and mechanical engineering, evidenced through practical experience and/or academic qualifications. Able to work on-site with both production systems and developmental instruments. Excellent presentation and communication skills, essential for a customer-facing role. Adaptable and flexible, with an open-minded approach to new ideas. Able to relay customer requirements and suggest product improvements effectively. Full UK driving licence and valid passport. Training in working within ATEX-rated environments or electrical installation would be advantageous.
