Fund Finance Senior Associate / Counsel (6+ PQE) – International Law Firm – Central London
Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Senior Associate (6–8 PQE) or Counsel (8+ PQE) to join its growing Fund Finance team in London. The Fund Finance group sits within a wider finance platform that regularly advises on large, multi-jurisdictional transactions, acting for both borrowers and lenders on some of the most complex and high-profile deals in the market.
The Role
This opportunity has arisen due to continued growth and a robust pipeline of work. The successful candidate will:
* Advise on the full spectrum of fund finance structures, including subscription line facilities, NAV facilities, GP support facilities, and capital call/CV fund financings.
* Act for both borrowers and lenders on cross-border transactions, managing all aspects of deal execution.
* Draft and negotiate facility agreements, intercreditor agreements, and security documents.
* Lead and project manage transactions, supervising junior lawyers and coordinating with overseas counsel.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, supporting business development and contributing to the growth of the practice.
* Collaborate with colleagues across the firm’s global network, particularly in Europe, Asia, and the US.
* Contribute to training, know-how, and the development of the team.
What They’re Looking For
* Qualified lawyer with at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience (overseas qualified lawyers considered at 6+ PQE).
* Strong technical knowledge of fund finance or leveraged finance, with experience acting for both borrowers and lenders.
* Familiarity with facility agreements, security documents, and intercreditor agreements.
* Experience managing large, multi-jurisdictional transactions and leading deal teams.
* Excellent client relationship skills and a collaborative, business-focused approach.
* Intellectual curiosity, commercial acumen, and a passion for professional development.
* Interest in AI and technology, and enthusiasm for driving innovation within the team.
