Job Title: Band 6 Drug and Alcohol Nurse Start Date: ASAP End Date: on-going Hours: 37.5 hours Mon - Fri Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Drug and Alcohol Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team (MDT) in providing high-quality substance misuse services. This is a full-time role with an immediate start available on an on-going basis. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals presenting with drug and/or alcohol misuse issues. * Provide evidence-based interventions and treatment plans, tailored to the needs of service users. * Manage a caseload of patients with medium complexity, ensuring continuity of care and effective risk management. * Support both community and in-patient detoxification processes in collaboration with medical and psychosocial teams. * Work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care. * Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records in line with professional and legal standards. * Contribute to clinical reviews, care planning, safeguarding processes, and patient outcome evaluations. * Actively participate in team meetings, supervision, and training activities. Requirements: * Registered Nurse (Mental Health) with current NMC registration. * Demonstrable experience in substance misuse services and working with individuals with complex needs. * Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, clinical guidance, and harm reduction strategies. * Ability to assess risk and make informed, autonomous clinical decisions. * Excellent communication and record-keeping skills. * A flexible, professional, and compassionate approach to service delivery.
