We're The Restaurant Group (TRG for short) and we're one of the UK's biggest hospitality businesses. Were a significant player in the UK casual dining market, operating a number of renowned restaurants and pubs including Wagamama, Barburrito and Brunning & Price

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Reporting Analyst to join our finance team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data across the group. The successful candidate will take ownership of group reporting processes, support month-end and year-end close activities, and work closely with finance systems to maintain data reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Analysis and insight

Manage complex data to provide analytical support and produce ad hoc and ongoing insights to inform decision making.

Ensure Accuracy & Integrity of Financial Data:

Validate and maintain high standards of financial reporting across all entities.

Own Group Reporting Design & Updates:

Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of group reporting structures using systems to automate the process including documenting reporting processes.

Reconcile Reporting Discrepancies:

Investigate and resolve inconsistencies in financial reports and data sources.

Support Month-End & Year-End Close:

Collaborate with finance teams to ensure timely and accurate close processes.

Support budgeting and forecasting processes:

Business partner to support finance teams with forward looking information needs.

Finance Systems & Data Management:

Work with various finance systems and data sources to ensure consistency and alignment across platforms.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Liaise with the Financial Controller and Systems Manager to align reporting processes with business needs and system capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Studying towards Accounting qualification an advantage

Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis

Strong understanding of financial systems and reporting tools (experience with a financial planning or consolidation system is required, D365, Microsoft BI and SQL is an advantage)

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

High attention to detail and accuracy

Strong communication and collaboration skills
