Customer Service Advisor – Billing Team
Location: Severn Trent Water, Shelton (Shrewsbury)
Contract: 3-month temporary contract
Start Date: 2nd February
Pay Rate: £13.10 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
Holiday: 25 days annual leave (pro rata) plus bank holidays
Morson Edge is proud to be recruiting on behalf of Severn Trent, one of the UK's leading utilities providers. We are looking for friendly, confident, and reliable Customer Service Advisors to join their Billing team based in Shelton, Shrewsbury.
About the Role
In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for customers, handling inbound calls and emails relating to billing and water-related queries. You'll work to resolve issues efficiently and professionally, ensuring every customer receives an excellent level of service.
This is a full-time, office-based role with full training provided, making it ideal for candidates with customer service or administrative experience from a range of backgrounds, including retail, hospitality, office, or contact centre environments.
Key Responsibilities
Handling inbound telephone calls and email enquiries from customers
Providing clear, accurate, and helpful information regarding billing and water services
Updating internal systems with accurate and timely information
Working collaboratively as part of a supportive team
Delivering a consistently high standard of customer service
What We're Looking For
Previous customer service or administration experience (call centre experience is not essential)
Strong communication and listening skills
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to work to targets and remain calm under pressure
Basic IT skills and confidence using multiple systems
