What You’ll Be Doing
* Advising clients on waste legislation, compliance requirements, strategy, and innovative management options to achieve sustainable outcomes.
* Taking ownership of and managing projects through:
o Proactive client liaison and communication as the main point of contact
o Maintaining client relationships and meeting client needs
o Managing contractual requirements and key performance indicators
o Ensuring quality, compliance, and financial performance
* Working to deliver technical outputs involving:
o Construction and excavation waste classification, advising on sampling requirements, undertaking assessments inline with Technical Guidance WM3, and providing onward management advice.
o Environmental permits (applications, variations, and surrenders), including standard rules, bespoke and Deposit for Recovery.
o Strategic documentation and policy relating to waste and material management.
o Environmental Impact Assessment Material Assets and Waste chapters.
o In‑depth advice relating to waste management compliance and legislation.
* Proactively supporting marketing and business development aspects.
* Enhancing and developing technical skills across a wide range of waste management projects, including new work streams and complex projects.
Who We’re Looking For
* A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Geology, or a related discipline.
* Strong experience in project management and waste and resource management, including waste classification, with knowledge of UK waste legislation and policy.
* Experience in or desire to manage other team members.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
* A proactive, strategic mindset with the ability to innovate and inspire.
* A valid UK driving licence and flexibility to travel.
* Based within an hour of Bristol, Manchester or Hemel Hempstead.
