Pulse is seeking a determined Band 8a clinical Psychologist to join our client’s Paediatrics Mental Health team within a private service based in Staffordshire, West Midlands. This position is available for an immediate start, working full-time hours for a 3-month period.
The post holder will deliver psychological care within the paediatric service, providing specialist assessments and interventions for patients and their families, and offering advice and consultation to colleagues. Essential experience includes working with children, young people, and their families in the context of chronic physical conditions (paediatric liaison psychology). Desirable experience includes working in paediatric diabetes, cystic fibrosis, and general paediatrics (pain management, medically unexplained symptoms, supporting parents on the ward, adherence to treatment, supporting newly diagnosed patients and their families, managing challenging behaviours, anxiety related to physical health).
To be considered for this role, you must:
* Hold a doctorate in Clinical Psychology
* Be HCPC registered
* Have a proven track record in adult mental health
* Be analytical and attentive to detail
