About the Role
We are seeking an Estimator to enhance our Sales and Estimating Team at our Head Office. If you have a solid background in the glass and glazing industry and good results of delivering correctly estimated glazing packages for the project team to deliver, this opportunity is for you.
Key Responsibilities
* Quotation & Scheduling:
* Schedule windows and screens for pricing.
* Process quotations using our pricing software (Logikal and Schucal).
* Compile and submit accurate, qualified quotations using our software.
* Follow up with customers and record updates.
* Workload Management:
* Balance your own tasks with those of the sales team, delegating responsibilities effectively to achieve departmental goals.
* Strategy & Target Setting:
* Collaborate with the Managing Director to establish and meet sales and gross margin targets.
* Pricing & Pipeline Management:
* Partner with management to devise effective pricing strategies.
* Maintain a robust sales pipeline to capitalize on every business opportunity.
* Ensure adherence to company processes and policies.
* Coordinate monthly sales meetings and weekly briefings to enhance team capabilities.
* Technical Expertise:
* Provide comprehensive technical support for our extensive range of Aluminium products, ensuring customers receive expert advice and high-quality service.
Required Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in the glass and glazing sector is essential, with a solid understanding of building regulations and the construction market.
Understand how to read and understand scope of work documents to enable correct estimation of projects.
* Sales & Estimating Acumen:
* Demonstrated success in a proactive, customer-focused sales or estimating role.
* Communication:
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
* Technical Proficiency:
* Advanced competency with the Microsoft Office suite.
* Interpersonal Skills:
* A personable, outgoing demeanor with the ability to build strong relationships both over the phone and in person.
