for passionate Outreach Recovery Workers who want to make a real difference in people's lives. In this role, you will manage a caseload of clients, conduct assessments, and develop personalized recovery plans. Your support will be crucial in helping vulnerable individuals turn their lives around. Flexibility is key, as the role includes early morning and late-night shifts, working closely with rough sleepers and those who struggle to engage in treatment. We offer a competitive starting salary of

, with annual increases based on our pay progression bands, reaching up to
£29,383

Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Outreach Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting rough sleepers as they begin their treatment journey. Your responsibilities will include: Developing flexible and realistic support packages. Providing practical advice and information to service users, their families, and professionals. Conducting clinical risk and needs assessments. Collaborating with various support services, healthcare providers, and community partners. Writing reports and maintaining accurate records. Promoting the rights and responsibilities of service users. You will also have the opportunity to enhance your skills in group work and structured psycho-social interventions while managing a substance use treatment caseload. Weekly activities will include: Evening outreach at street kitchens/night shelters (7 PM to 12 AM). Twice-weekly drop-in services at SHOC and Salvation Army. Early morning outreach (5:30 AM - 9 AM) alongside MDT colleagues. Additionally, every two months, you will join the team for night walks (11 PM to 6 AM) with local authorities and provide in-reach support to temporary winter shelters.
Are You the Ideal Candidate?
We are looking for candidates who are: Trained in delivering effective brief interventions on drug and alcohol use and harm reduction. Experienced in working with rough sleepers in housing, healthcare, or substance use contexts. Passionate about inspiring recovery in others. Equipped with excellent communication and IT skills. Familiar with interventions for alcohol treatment (preferred). If you have transferable skills and a commitment to making a difference, we want to hear from you!
