About the Role

As a Centre Support Assistant, you will be the welcoming face our Family Hubs, greeting all visitors to the centre. You will support colleagues by undertaking administrative tasks including managing the electronic room booking system, setting up rooms, maintaining and ordering resources, updating databases and electronic records. You will also be required to undertake health and safety checks to ensure that the centre and its grounds are fit for purpose, reporting issues where necessary. You may also be required to support the delivery of group interventions with families, young people, and children, therefore safeguarding knowledge is essential. A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post along with use of a vehicle to enable travel between our Family Hubs.


About You

To apply for this post, you must:

* Have administration experience including reception duties, message taking and relaying, maintaining record systems, producing electronic reports and correspondence, computerised data entry and using spreadsheets.
* Have knowledge of health and safety procedures, the importance of confidentiality, and effective ways of communicating via social media.
* Have numeracy skills sufficient to collate statistical information and literacy skills sufficient to produce high quality written materials suitable for a variety of audiences.
* Have clear communication skills including a good telephone manner and the ability to engage and communicate with parents, young people, and children.
* Be able to work with a range of professionals and practitioners as part of a team.
* Be competent in using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Access, Excel, and Outlook.
* Be able to produce accurate work to deadlines. You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion. In addition, we also expect you to share and will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the selection process.
