We have a vacancy for a mini-bus driver to support the academy with routine transport, home visits and extracurricular activities.

The type of person we are looking for will be committed to outstanding levels of customer service and enthusiastic about working with young people. He or she will demonstrate a willingness to contribute to the overall ethos and aims of the academy.
Job description
1. Drive the minibus in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the Highway Code, the County Council's Code of Practice for minibus drivers and training provided by the Road Safety Unit of the Council to maintain pupil, staff and public safety whilst on the highway.
2. Provide daily visual checks and basic maintenance for the vehicles eg. oil levels, cleaning of vehicles, etc and arrange when necessary the service and MOT of the vehicle to maintain basic working order and prevent unnecessary deterioration of the vehicle. Carry out a weekly, recorded check in accordance with the maintenance schedule.
3. At the commencement of the journey, liaise with the Escort (if applicable) as appropriate to check that seat belts are fastened and bags and equipment is secured. Throughout the journey ensure that pupils remain seated, stopping when necessary to ensure that the safety of pupils and staff is maintained at all times.
4. Drive the minibus for school trips, attendance house visits, PE fixtures etc.

Within a 20 minute drive from the town, you can find yourself in the beautiful, open Staffordshire countryside or Birmingham's bustling city centre.
