Property Group
The work of the Property Group encompasses a broad range of work for private individuals, companies (including property development companies and investment vehicles and commercial businesses requiring premises for their own occupation) charities, private banks and high-profile organisations and individuals. The work involves mainly properties in London and the South East of England and covers office space, shops and residential development.
The role
We are looking for a Legal Administrator to join the Property group. The Legal Administrator will support the group with general administration tasks, assist with streamlining processes. The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum one year’s administration assistant experience, ideally gained in a law firm or professional services.
Responsibilities
The Legal Administrator role has the following responsibilities:
* Providing general administration support for the group, ensuring work is completed efficiently and within set deadlines.
Assisting With
* File opening and closing processes, including post completion routines.
* Admin tasks for the Conveyancing Quality Scheme audits.
* Photocopying and scanning.
* All aspects of the billing process and accounting processes, including claiming expenses.
* Maintaining client files both electronically and in hard copy where required, including sorting, collating and filing emails and correspondence/documents.
* Managing processes using the firm’s network IT systems and databases, including Filesite, Aderant, Microsoft Office and Search Acumen.
* Liaising with other departments including Compliance and Finance.
* Managing workload issues; takes ownership of enquiries and ensures any issues are referred/delegated to the appropriate person and dealt with in a timely fashion.
* Providing ad hoc support to the group as required including searches and research.
Skills Required
* Previous experience within a busy law firm is preferable.
One year’s administration experience in a similar role.
* Excellent IT skills.
* Good numeracy skills.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
