Are you a passionate and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role? A welcoming primary school in Blackburn is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with responsibility for SEND to join our team on a fixed-term contract for 12 months. About the Role: This crucial role involves supporting the learning and development of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across our Prep School. You'll work closely with our Lead SENDCo to plan and deliver targeted interventions, track pupil progress, and build strong relationships with staff and families. Your focus will be on promoting inclusion, fostering independence, and supporting pupils' academic, personal, and social growth. Key Responsibilities: Deliver individual and small-group interventions based on EHCPs and internal plans. Adapt resources and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs. Lead on SEND reviews and support the development of IEPs, pupil passports, and transition processes. Monitor and record pupil progress, providing valuable feedback to teachers. Assist with resource creation, displays, and the administration of tests. Occasionally provide whole-class cover or support during trips and co-curricular activities. Supervise pupils during break and lunch to ensure their safety and wellbeing.What We're Looking For: We are seeking someone who is an excellent communicator, respectful, and able to lead by example.
