Location

Salary

£41,303 - £46,247 depending on experience


What you’ll be doing

* Championing Cyber Security by developing new approaches, relationships and supporting culture to achieve continuous assurance
* Support the IM&T Management team to achieve team and organisational objectives
* Completion of Level 1 Cyber Security Assessments against a strict set of criteria to ensure the effective use of IT and OT Systems within the Business Unit
* Support risk assessments and ongoing management, including cyber risks identified and owned by other teams
* Creation and management of Cyber Security Remediation Plans


Your skills and experiences

Essential:

* Cyber Security knowledge, including experience of System/Application and Cloud Security
* Understanding of government and industry security policies, standards, and best practices (e.g., NCSC guidance, ISO 27001, NIST, Cyber Essentials, GDPR)
* A passion and drive to establish yourself within the Cyber Security and Assurance Domain

Desirable:

* Experience managing, controlling and reporting project deliverables to senior management audiences
* Hold a relevant cyber security qualification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent)

The Weapons Systems IM&T Team

As part of BAE Systems Platforms and Services sector, Weapon Systems (UK) designs, develops, manufactures, and supports artillery systems, naval guns, and provides engineering capability to the wider BAE Systems business. Our global reach brings our customers a depth and breadth of expertise that meet critical needs in the air, on land, and at sea. As part of this role, you’ll have the opportunity to develop and enhance your skills within the wider BAE Systems Cyber Security community. The Weapon Systems UK Information Management & Technology (IM&T) department is currently made up of six professionals with specialisation in cyber assurance, manufacturing technology, and business coordination. We operate as part of a small business unit of around 250 people within WSUK, where the culture is close-knit, collaborative, and supportive, with strong cross-team relationships.
